Our last trip to Hamilton....
We got up and it was a cold foggy morning. The lake looked beautiful as we pulled out of Taupo.
We both got a little choked up as we drove to Hamilton, knowing it would be the last time we
would drive on this road..through this beautiful country to work at the Temple Visitor's Center.
There was a real heavy frost....it looked so cool with all the fog and frost....
the pictures didn't capture the beauty of it :(
We had a few visitors come to see us at the Visitor's Center.
Louisa Henderson was in Hamilton (she's our friend from Gisborne).
It was hard to say good-bye to her. She has been such a special friend.
The last time we were in Gisborne, her husband, Dave, came to church to see us....
This was HUGE! Dave is a non-member, and we had a really good relationship with him.
Hope we see these great people again! We sure grew to love them!
Our last picture with the Elders in Hamilton...
Elder Hughes (the tall one) was one of "our" elders in Gisborne.
Elder Gubler had gone to run a couple of errands when we took this picture, so he is missing in action!
Sister Owen worked in the Visitor's Center with us every Tuesday.
She is the sweetest lady. Her husband was one of the Labor Missionaries that built
the Temple and the Church College.
Sister Tavali (from Samoa) and Sister Italy. That's not really her name,
but we called her that because she was from Italy!
It was extra hard saying goodbye to the Hardy's! We know we will see them when they get home
in September, though. We have had a lot of fun with these great people!
We had so much fun working with these sweet sister missionaries!
They are so special to us! We will miss them so much!
Lonne's LAST fly fishing trip!
Well....his last one until we go back there! I know he won't be able
to stay away from New Zealand for very long!
Elder G is definitely going to miss his weekly P-day fishing trips!
His has been in fisherman's heaven! I'm afraid the trout in Utah just aren't
going to compare to the ones in New Zealand! They taste so good and fresh over here!!
I even like them!!! And I'm not a fan of trout! I was so happy that Lonne was able to
have a successful fishing day on his last day to the river:)
