A few days after we got home, we took our parents to Iowa with us to see Mitch graduate from Dental School. We were so proud of him and his achievements! It's pretty hard to think of our little boy as a doctor, but he has earned the title!! 8 years of school, and now he is headed to 3 more years as he has decided to specialize in Periodontics. He was accepted back into the University of Iowa into their Periodontics Program. He was very lucky...they only accepted 2 dental students in the whole nation! Quite an honor for him. Can you tell that his mom and dad are proud? I won't deny it....we are beyond proud of him! We're so proud of all of our college graduate children since neither one of us has a college degree!
Mitch is the first doctor in the Gubler family. All of his grandparents were so proud of their grandson!

Manaia and Malia
Robyn has been such a supportive wife. She encouraged him to go on to specialize. It takes a wonderful wife to agree to be poor for three more years! 11 years of school.....wow!
Robyn and Mitch have the cutest group of friends. But today was happy/sad for this trio. The Boldings (left) and Jameson and Taysia (middle) are both moving away from Iowa. Jared Bolding will be practicing in Omaha, and Jameson is going on to orthodonics for the next two years in Oklahoma.
It was a tearful day for these couples. They have been here together from the beginning. It was gut-wrenching to watch them say good bye...both couples took off for their new homes right after graduation. Luckily Mitch and Robyn have lots more friends that they hang out with! They love their dental school friends!
Mom and Dad were pretty proud of our son!

A happy day for this couple! What a great accomplishment for both of them!
Grandma and Grandpa Gubler were so proud of their boy!
We couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces....
I remember when we named Mitch...
I told Lonne that Mitchell Miles Gubler would look so good on his doctor's office door!
I knew he would be successful from the very beginning! Love this boy so much!
He took his grandparents on a tour of his school and the clinic where he has learned and worked.
They loved seeing what he does every day!
While they were touring the school, I was having an exam from one of Mitch's professors, Dr. Vargus.
I will be going back out to Iowa in a few weeks to have a little work done. Fun!
It was fun to see Mitch interact with his professors and dental assistants. We could tell they all like him. Dr. Vargus told me that I should be very proud of my son....that he is a very good dentist!
Another proud moment for this mom!
We went down town for ice cream. Malia had fun playing in the fountain.
It was a hot, humid, Iowa night. We loved the fire flies. Lonne had never seen them before.
Mitch and Malia catch them. Malia loves it!
The day after the graduation, we drove down to Nauvoo. I always love Nauvoo!
We had a fun day with our parents and kids.
We all flew home to St. George on Sunday. It was a short, but eventful trip.
We were so happy to have Dr. Mitch and his family come home for a couple of weeks!
He will start back up into Periodontic School as soon as they get back...the end of June.
