Thanks to Technology.....

We didn't have to miss the birth of our new grand-daughter!
Manaia Krisitn Gubler
Was born August 2nd
7 lbs. 5 oz

We came home for dinner....there was a message on our phone from Mitch.
Robyn was in labor...they were at the hospital.
It worked out perfect for us....
Mitch called us when it was time for the delivery.
He set up the computer, and we watched and listened as our new baby girl was born!
We were in NZ, and were able to hear her first cry! :)
I'll have to admit, grandma and grandpa cried as well!
But...once again....I am so grateful for technology!

About her name

Manaia is a Samoan/NewZealand name.
They will call her Naia (Nya).
Mitch has a thing for Samoan names since he served his mission in Samoa.
He thinks he is Samoan or something! Ha!
He and Robyn didn't realize Manaia is a New Zealand name as well.
There are lot's of Manaias over here!
There is even a town and a mountain named Manaia!
People in New Zealand wear carved necklaces called a "Manaia"
Little Manaia's name will always have a special meaning for us....
it will remind us of where we were when she was born.

Manaia, we love you so much already!
We can't wait to meet you....hold you...smell you...kiss you...
And LOVE you in the flesh!
But for now, we'll have to be the computer grandma and grandpa...
And we are so thankful for that!!!

She has dimples! Yay!!

I wish I could say she looks like her mommy....
but...obviously, she is a mini Mitch!
She is such a little doll!

I love this picture of her little hand...so precious!

She looks so much like her daddy when he was born...
 It's almost scary! lol

Malia is so excited to have a baby sister!!

Robyn looks beautiful even though it was 3:30 a.m. and she had just delivered a baby!!

Daddy brought Malia to the hospital...he even did her hair:)

Going home from the hospital

Daddy bought Malia a baby of her own! She loved it!

Little Naia has no idea what she has in store for her!
Her big sister loves her soooo much, and wants to play with her!!

Welcome to our family, sweet baby girl!
