More Days in December...

3rd Ward Pot Luck Dinner and Christmas Devotional
They Bishopric presented us with a "Lolly Lei"
filled with New Zealand Candy:)

Wendy (the first lady we taught and baptized)
recently got married to to guy in the ward...Mike Timu.
The ward presented them with a cake and had a cutting ceremony while the choir sang!
Mike and Wendy had a private ceremony, so this was their only cake:)

The choir sang Christmas songs

The Aben girls

The Gisborne Zone Elders
Elder Lui, Elder Hibbard, Elder Killingbeck, and Elder Petty

John and Francis are a couple we visit...
we were so happy when they came to the Christmas party and devotional!
It's the first time they have come to anything at the church since we've been here!
John is a HOOT!! We love to visit them! He keeps us laughing!

Lonne with Joe-dee with their Lolly Leis

Elder Killingbeck with his new friend, Joe-dee

Me and Tania the day after her baptism

We took the Elders up to Kaiti Hill...
They had never gone up there with us.
I thought a couple of them were going to die! Ha!
They were huffing and puffing, and sweating like crazy!!
Pretty bad when the senior couple is in better shape than the young Elders! lol

Elder Lui had to take a break...I thought he was going to pass out!

The Elders playing on the play ground:)

The logs waiting to get loaded onto the ships...

Elder Lui, Hibbard, Killingbeck, and Petty
with Capain Cook (the first British guy to discover New Zealand)

These trees are in blossom everywhere...they are the New Zealand Christmas Tree...
They say that when they are in full bloom, the fishing is wonderful in the sea.
Lonne wants to put that theory to the test!

On our way back down to our apartment for pancakes!
We had a great time, and a great work out with some great boys!!
These Elders are awesome! We love them!
