Last week-end, Lonne, Mitch, Robert Ence, and his boys went on a trail ride up on top of Pine Valley Mountain. Lonne has been wanting to get up there all summer, so when Robert called and said his boys were on the mountain, Lonne said, "Let's go meet them up there!" They loaded the horses and had me make them some tin foil dinners and they were GONE! While they were gone, there was a flash flood here in Santa Clara, and up on Pine Valley, but somehow, they missed both! They had a great time with the guys and Mitch loved it. He doesn't see any mountains in Iowa, so he was glad to be able to get up there! Lonne calls Pine Valley "HIS" mountain. He loves that place! I'm so glad they took a couple days off and had some fun with the boys.
These two boys have been best buds since the olden days at the Santa Clara School House...They are so much alike it is scary!
Mitch and Lonne in their favorite place on earth! They have been going up here on horses since Mitch was about two years old. Wow...time flies!! That little blonde haired boy who used to sleep in the saddle with his daddy, has grown up into a dark-haired man over night!!
