We went to visit a less active member in Turangi the other day and we were met
at the gate by this HUGE as heck DOG!
Needless to say, we didn't go any further!
Lonne is NOT into dogs, especially big huge growling dogs!
He was trying to make friends with the dog in this picture...
but it didn't work! So.....
We were OUTTA THERE!
We have been given the opportunity to work in the Temple Visitor's Center on Tuesdays now.
We drive to Hamilton (2 hours) and work the 10-4 shift.
We love the Visitor's Center, so we were happy to fill in for awhile.
We have a couple who have been called to be the VC Directors, but for some
odd reason, New Zealand isn't giving Visas to our missionaries in the states right now!
We have 21 Elders and a couple sitting over in the states, waiting to come over!
We don't know how long it is going to take, so in the mean time, we are
helping out at the VC while they are short-handed.
We love it!
This is our first day at our new job! I thought it looked cool to look in the window
and see our reflection, the temple, and Christ, all at the same time...
So of course, I had to snap a picture of it!
Our friend, Louise Henderson from Gisborne stopped in to see us last week!
She was on her way to Hamilton, but there was a big rock landslide in the Gorge above
Gisborne, so she had to take the LONG route through Taupo.
It took her at least 3 hours longer to get there! She was so tired when she arrived...
It is a long, tiring drive! It was so good to see her!
